PLACES TO GROW
AWARD

APPLICATION / NOMINATION
Is it possible to download the application's questions in a PDF?
Yes, you can download both the application and the nomination form from here:
Application form
How can I submit an application?
An application can be submitted through our online form within the pre-application period (until 24 June, 23:59 CET). Please do not email us applications. The form saves your progress, however, we still encourage you to prepare your application text in a separate document. To have an overview of all fields, you can download our application template here.

Once finalised, please click the “Submit” field: if your submission was successful, you will receive an email confirmation.
Can I nominate someone else?
Yes - we welcome nominations through our nomination form in a language of your preference until 24 June, 23:59 CET. Please do not email us nominations. The form saves your progress, however, we still encourage you to prepare your nomination text in a separate document. To have an overview of all fields, you can download our nomination template here.

Once finalised, please click the “Submit” field: if your submission was successful, you will receive an email confirmation.
In what languages can I apply or nominate someone?
While the forms are in English, projects may be submitted in any language: we will take care of the translation. The choice of language, nor the level of language expression of your application will not influence the evaluation of your proposal. The character limit of each field remains the same regardless of the language.
How to best prepare my application or nomination?
Please ensure that your - or the nominated project fulfils the Award’s main criteria, has been implemented for at least a year as of January 2024 - and is active in one of the three countries included in this call. You may follow the guiding questions of the application form fields - or seek any other structure that best highlights the project’s contribution to ECD.

If you would like to consult your application, we will hold two online Q&A sessions to address any potential questions applicants may have – on 6 May and 20 June. You can register for either session by clicking on the dates. During these sessions, queries may be answered in English, Hungarian or Slovak.
Can I submit a project as a private individual?
Yes, projects run by private individuals are also eligible for submission.
Can I submit several applications?
Yes, you can if those are for distinctly different projects. Please make sure to finalise and submit any application before creating another one.
What should I do if I encounter technical difficulties during the application or nomination process?
Should you encounter any difficulties with either form, the submission or any other aspect, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@placestogrow.eu. We aim to respond to your query as soon as possible, and will ensure a particularly quick turnaround in the last week of the pre-application process.
What follows after the nomination and application process?
Once nominations and applications close on 24 June, we will first check the submissions against eligibility criteria. The jury will review the eligible projects and create its shortlist. Shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to submit a full application by 5 September.

The award ceremony and announcement of winners will take place at the Places to Grow Conference in Prague on 14 November.
What should I do if I did not find an answer to my question?
We are very sorry to hear that! Please do not hesitate to reach out via info@placestogrow.eu.
